If you only have one day in Chitrakoot, focus on the most essential and sacred sites. Start early to make the most of your day.

  • Mid-Morning (10 AM - 12 PM): Visit Gupt Godavari caves to see the subterranean streams.
  • Afternoon (2 PM - 4 PM): Visit Sphatik Shila, Janki Kund (near Hotel Yatrika), and Hanuman Dhara.
  • Evening (5:30 PM onwards): Head to Ram Ghat to witness the divine Mandakini Aarti.

2-Day Recommended Itinerary

A 2-day itinerary allows for a more relaxed and complete darshan experience.

Tips for Chitrakoot Darshan

  • Footwear: Wear easily removable slip-on shoes or sandals, as you will need to remove them frequently at temples. Walk barefoot for the Kamadgiri Parikrama.
  • Timing: Start early mornings to avoid crowds and the midday heat, especially during summer.
  • Transport: Auto-rickshaws are the best way to navigate locally. Negotiate fares or hire one for the full day. Our hotel desk can assist with reliable transport.
  • Monkeys: Be cautious of monkeys, especially at Hanuman Dhara and Kamadgiri. Do not carry food openly.

Your Ideal Base Camp

Hotel Yatrika's central location at Janki Kund makes it the perfect starting point for your daily darshan. Return to AC comfort and pure veg dining after a long day.
